โš• New Feeding Tube & IV Therapy Tools! | Travel Supplies & Backpacks ๐Ÿ’ผ (3/31/18)

– One, two, three, voila. I have got some more
supplies to show y’all. Today’s the day of new feeding tube and IV therapy supplies. (lively music) Good Saturday morning, everyone. I’m just recovering from last night. Baby, show them Harlow. – [Judd] She is happily and
cozy underneath the bed. It’s cold in here. My nose is cold. – I know, it’s cold, and Harlow now likes
to sleep under the bed. If I’ll get up, or Judd gets up, and we call her, whoever’s still in bed will hear a thump as she gets up and hits her head on the bed. She likes it under there. – Well, Paul and I are
gonna go to the range today in my pick-’em-up trick. Jaque and Janiece are just gonna pretty much do a little bit more than what you’re seeing
right now, or less. – It’s still kind of early, and last night wasn’t as
bad as the night before, but I need some time. You are gonna have fun. Oh, Judd’s picking up my new feeding tube backpack from the seamstress. Thank you, babe. – [Judd] You’re welcome. – [Jaquie] Harlow has emerged. She’s waiting for Orion. She was pouting. Maybe she was under the bed pouting ’cause she wasn’t playing with Orion. – She wasn’t playing with anybody. – Good dog. (rock music) One, two, three, voila. It’s my new feeding tube backpack. That was a cool– Was it cheesy? – [Janiece] It was. She’s obsessed. – I really like it. This is from Vera Bradley. It’s a mini backpack,
and I got it 50% off, and I dropped it at the seamstress, and she altered it to
accommodate my feeds. At the top here is a clip to hold my feed bag. I’m probably gonna ask
her to shorten it, though, so it’s not hanging down as low. There is a clip here on the side to hold the excess tubing. Then, I don’t know if y’all can see it, but there is an elastic band here to hold the pump in place so the pump doesn’t fall
and kink the tubing, which as an improvement from
my other altered backpacks. Then there is something here on the side to let the tubing run out
right to my feeding tube. I love it. Then there is more space in this bag than my other backpacks. There’s a pocket here,
pockets on the side, and then there’s another compartment here in the back with more space, and you can put a phone
there, I’m guessing. I really, really like this backpack. Of course, it’s my favorite
color, with the pretty pattern, and the straps are comfortable. It rocks. I have got some more
supplies to show y’all. Today is the day of new feeding tube and IV therapy supplies. This is the suitcase I
had been looking for. If y’all may recall, Paul,
Janiece, Judd, and I, and the dogs, the pooches, we are taking a trip in April, and we are flying, and I
wanted a hard carryon suitcase to put all of my medical supplies. I don’t want to check it because, if they lose my luggage with
my checked medical supplies, that could be bad. I ordered this one from Target. Yes, it is pink, I love it. Zipper it open. The inside has pink polka dots, and it’s got compartments, and straps, and it’s perfect. I wanted a hard suitcase
for extra protection of my medical supplies. It’s a spinner style suitcase, meaning the wheels swivel every which way. I feel like the dogs are
watching me give my presentation. We’ve got Harlow and Orion here. I got more to show y’all. Ta-da, more organization travel supplies. The blue containers have
my IV therapy supplies, and the green containers have
my feeding tube supplies. This is more for weekend trips to Orlando, or other shorter stays. This would not fit in my travel suitcase. I have to pack it
differently in this suitcase, but this is much more convenient for when we go to Orlando, or take other trips, mainly in the car. These organization bins came from Target, and they all clip to one another, and it comes with this organization top. I’ve got some port care
stuff, alcohol swabs. There’s another six-compartment
thing, the second one. I’ve got my IV medicine vials in there. Then I’ve got a port start
kit, and a port needle, and another port start kit,
and a port needle in there. In this one, I have got
lots of saline flushes, and I’ve got saline flushes here as well. In here, I’ve got my heparin, my high-dose heparin and low-dose heparin. In the bottom, I’ve got my needles for my IV medications. For my feeding tube supplies, I’ve got some Kate Farms,
my formula, on the bottom. In the middle compartment,
I’ve got my split gauze for cleaning around my feeding tube, my grip lock, which is the thing here that holds my tubing so
it doesn’t get yanked. If I get caught on something and it yanks, it pulls here rather than
at my feeding tube itself. I’ve got extra extension tubing. Then, in the top of this, there’s another six-part
organization unit. I’ve got my little slip tip syringe to check the water inside the balloon. I’ve got this little container. I need to get another one. I’m gonna fill this one
with distilled water, which is what I use for the
balloon for the feeding tube, and another one with witch hazel, which I use around my tube to
help with granulation tissue, which is just raw, irritated skin. Basically, the witch hazel
helps keep my stoma healthy. Of course, I’ve got tubing pads. (grunts) Okay, this one’s a little heavy. In the big one here, in the bottom, I’ve got eight bottles of formula. Then, in the top, I’ve got my feed bags. Of course, I can fit other things I need, like my flush to flush my tube, and tegaderms, whatever else. I really, really like how they have the six-part organization stuff because it’s just so convenient
for all the stuff I need. You know, I got the swab
caps, the bio patches, enclaves, it’s just really cool, and again, all of this came from Target. I just like to find ways to keep my vast amounts of medical
supplies organized, especially when traveling. Now, it’s all set and ready to go, so hopefully, traveling
will be easier now. – Well, we finished our livestream. – Our 100k celebration. – Thank you guys for 100,000 followers. Thank you if you were able
to make it to the livestream and actually watch it live. – Check it out right here. – It is gonna be somewhere in this corner. – Yes.
(plastic pops) Stop. – That’s Paul in the background, playing with Harlow and Orion. We’re gonna go back to playing Far Cry 5. That’s a dog. – Thank you so much for
all of your support. Y’all are the reason we do what we do. – Yeah, we truly do–
– You are the reason for our success.
– Everything just for you guys, 100%. – Thank you so much, we love you. The livestream was awesome. Thanks again for all
the support y’all offer. Now, I am back here with Janiece. We are chilling. I have been resting,
resting, resting today, so hopefully, I have the energy to go to church tomorrow for Easter. I was able to take a two-hour
nap, which is awesome, to try to catch up on some of the sleep I lost last night, and yeah, we’re just gonna keep chilling. Are we gonna try and play the Bob’s Burgers Monopoly version? – Hopefully. – It’ll be fun. I don’t like Monopoly,
but I like Bob’s Burgers. Here we go, Monopoly,
Bob’s Burgers edition. We’ve got our little people. Janiece already called Louise. – I did. – [Jaquie] Which, all right, all right. I’m gonna be Tina ’cause
I’m awkward like her. Judd’s gonna be Bob. He’s holding a little burger. Paul’s gonna be Gene. Harlow and Orion are just
gonna be cheerleaders. – Yes, I agree. – Did you bring me a Popsicle? Thank you. We’ve got Bob’s Burgers playing while we play Bob’s Burgers. I am enjoying a Popsicle. Janiece is not enjoying the game. She’s had to pay us all money. She had to pay the bank. – Each turn, I’m losing money. – [Paul] She went back in spaces too. – Yep, she’s not doing great, but we’re all having a great
time, even the pooches. Judd landed on Bob’s Burgers, and it’s literally one
of the cheapest spots. You gotta get it, babe. It’s iconic. – [Paul] If someone lands on it, it’s only four dollars that you get. – Oh, only four dollars? – Yeah, rent is four.
– Awesome. – [Jaquie] You are not gonna get it? – You know how much it
would take you to pay that? – [Jaquie] Poor Bob’s Burgers. – If you get the other one, it does help. – You know how much in
the hole you would be? The entire game. – [Jaquie] I would get the Bob’s Burgers. I would do it. – Not worth it. – [Jaquie] Right, pooches? – [Janiece] The game is named after it. – [Jaquie] Yeah, serious, I
am surprised it’s so cheap. – [Janiece] It should be right here. – It should be worth 400. I got it. I got the Bob’s Burgers, and Janiece just got a good property too. She’s catching up. I have the pink places, of course. I have, well, they’re modest apartments.
– Of course it’s pink. – [Jaquie] Of course I
got the pink, awesome. Okay, maybe I like Monopoly. The dogs are sleepy. I now have many little houses. They’re considered modest apartments. There are some dangerous negotiations going on between Paul and Janiece. – I’ll give you 50
bucks for Bob’s Burgers. – [Jaquie] Really? You’re gonna
take Bob’s Burgers from me? You didn’t want it before. – I’ll give you 50 bucks for it now. – [Jaquie] You don’t value the Bob’s Burgers.
– I’ll give you 50 bucks for it now though. – [Jaquie] No. – All right then, be salty. – [Jaquie] Yes, I was waiting. 750. – [Janiece] Think he’s out for the count. – [Jaquie] Are you done? Are we done already? – No.
– He’s coming close. – No, I was about to buy a bunch
of houses on my properties, but apparently–
– I think, if he rolls one more time and gets
a two, he’s screwed. – [Jaquie] Yes. – [Judd] $1,400 gone at o– – How much is it, 750? – [Jaquie] Yep, thank you. I’m getting mansions. All right, this is a trap. Let’s see who’s gonna be in there next.
– Anybody who comes here, she owns all four of these. – [Judd] Seven, nine, or 12. – [Jaquie] Judd’s going
through the danger zone. – [Judd] Seven, nine, or 12, seven, nine, or 12. – [Jaquie] Janiece and I,
someone’s gonna take him out. – [Judd] Oh, lord Jesus. Please get a 10. Oh, I think that’s spot on. – One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Jimmy Pesto’s. – [Jaquie] Jimmy Pesto’s, that is 750. – That’s gonna be a lot
of 50s and a lot of ones. (all laugh) – Well, Bob’s Burgers
Monopoly was pretty fun. Okay, it was the first time I played Monopoly and enjoyed it, but then we started crashing
’cause it was getting late, so we cut the game short, but I won for the first time ever. – Even though the guys think she cheated. – I didn’t cheat though. I’m actually very honest
when playing board games. This one isn’t. She’ll admit it, she does cheat. But I gotta say that today was a pretty great day with my gastroparesis. I was able to have some
Popsicles, and some bread, and even some turkey breast, you know, the lunch meat from the deli. It was a good day. It’s not like I did anything different to make today a better day. It’s just the unpredictable
nature of chronic illness. Some days are unpredictable
in a not so great way, and some days are unpredictable
in an awesome way, so I’m just gonna take
it, and be thankful, and I’m praying that tonight goes well with the nausea and vomiting, and we get to go to church tomorrow. With that, we will say goodnight. (upbeat rock music) Thanks for joining us on our adventure.

  1. Your organisation bins are literally literally the most perfect satisfying things – how everything fits in them perfectly.

  2. I aspire to someday be as well organized and minimal as you. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I absolutely love how organized you are! Oh and Happy Easter!

  3. Loved the stream yesterday even though I could only watch a short bit and I love this vlog seeing how you're organizing everything.

  4. When you travel, how do you go through security? Do you have a doctor's note. Do you think you could do a vlog right before your trip where you talk about the process

  5. Love the pink polka dots inside the suitcase. May have to get one for myself just because of the polka dots! Congratulations- 100K subscribers is well deserved.

  6. I know you said in the livestream you wouldn't do a PO box for health reasons, but have you considered doing an amazon wishlist for if someone wanted to send you a little something?

  7. I love the new backpack!!! It looks like there way way way is more space in this one! And the pattern is amazing

  8. Now you could store an additional vogmask in your new backpack in case you forget your at home! ๐Ÿ˜€ so much space, yay!

  9. I love the backpack, nice upgrade Chicka. Happy Easter I hope you all have a wonderful day.
    Give Harlow some treats ๐Ÿ˜Š

  10. Good morning Jaquie, i have a question for you, how do you know how much supplies to take when you are going on a trip? I would over pack end up not needing so much. Love your live stream, you guys were awesome! Enjoy your trip, and stay well!

  11. You should design some bags for people who need to carry medical supplies. With adjustable straps. With cute patterns and designs.

  12. Happy Easter! That looked like a fun game of monopoly- I, too don't usually enjoy. Although, last semester a group from my Spanish class would have Mexican monopoly game night and it ended up like your game did, with one or two person owning the entire boardwalk(plus lots of yelling in Spanish)! Orion and Harlow are definitely your best audience members and cutest

  13. Love the backpack. I am not much of a pink person, but it is a cute print. And yay for being able to eat more today! I don't have a chronic illness, but my mom did (she passed away last year from MS complications), so I understand about the not being able to eat. For the last few years of her life, she had trouble eating. I know it's tough, but sometimes you got to celebrate those achievements no matter how big or small they may be.

  14. Live stream was awesome. Happy Easter, Organization is a must it make things so much easier. I have a question about how Judd plays with Harlow by blowing at her ears and face, has she ever bitten him for it? I once saw a friendly dog bite their owner in the face pretty bad for blowing at it. Take care glad your feeling better today.

  15. HAPPY EASTER ALL OF YOU ! Very cool livestream! Sometimes it takes the right people to be able to enjoy something. <3 Loved your new suitcase and new backpack <3

  16. Wait, you've been using witch hazel for your stoma?? That may have been what caused your problems with your other tube. Witch hazel is not recommended for stomas. ๐Ÿ™

  17. Iโ€™m getting a new laptop ๐Ÿ’ป so I wonโ€™t have my MacBook anymore so no iMovie to edit my videos with. I was wondering what app you edit you videos with so I can try on my new laptop

  18. Love the backpack mods. I have the same backpack (in purple) and it's amazing. Small enough to carry around all the time and be unobtrusive, but big enough to fit so much stuff.

  19. I don't have as many medical supplies as you do, but I really want those organisers! Also, congrats on 100k ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’‘

  20. hehehe Jaquie:'Are we gonna play bobs burgers monopoly edition?" Hahaha you crack me up. I love watching your videos, Keep it up, never stop being you, take care and have a very lovely day!!!

  21. What you go through with your supplies and medical tasks overwhelm me just to watch; I applaud you and your organization skills! Happy Easter, I hope you were able to make it to church.

  24. Love how awesome you are with dealing with your everyday struggles with your medical conditions you have. I have Mitochondrial Disease intestinal failure on TPN via Hickman line 7 nights every week for the last 7 years I have epilepsy fowler syndrome cluster headaches EDS Gastroparesis endometriosis the list goes on… Seeing how well you deal with all your conditions helps me through all my good and bad days so thank you Jacquie for allowing us all to join you on your journey. From Helen

  25. Very happy you are doing well Jaquie. Just got home from church and a big Easter Carnival for the kiddos. I appreciate the good days with my chronic illness even though I got really sick afterwards. I hope that your health continues to improve. With God all things are possible. Have a great Easter Sunday.

  26. TIP: When flying with cans of formula, separate the weight or else it may be too much weight for a carry on. Thanks to Mary Frey for the tip!

  27. Happy Easter to you and your family Jaquie! He has risen!! I have been watching your vlogs for some time now. I am encouraged by your strength! Also, thank you for all your education on chronic illness. i am a chronic illness warrior as well!! I will continue to pray for your health and for you and Judd! You are very cute together!!

  28. Hello,I know you have been frustrated with med suggestions in the past and I hope I have not over step my boundaries, but I have not ever heard you talk about any surgery to improve your GP. There are two that are available in Canada one is to stretch the valve between stomach and intestines, to make food dump quicker. Or something called a gastric pacemaker which provides small electric current to stimulate the muscle to move food/ stomach acid ect…. in the right direction. I know it improves the nausea and vomiting that GP causes. I am fortunate that I live in Canada and that Motillium has helped my symptoms enough, that surgery is not the right option for me. If you have heard of the surgical options and there not for you I understand. I just have not heard you talk about those being options. Cheers from Canada!!

  29. Can you make Harlow merch????? Cute shirts and dog bowls and collars and things like that?? โค๏ธโค๏ธ

  30. I have a blue purple and green Vera Bradley bag!! I think itโ€™s a little smaller than yours, but I love it!

  31. When my brother and I play Monopoly, we essentially let each other go into a ton of debt in order to prolong the game, so we end up being in debt for hours and hours.
As long as we get to be lazy little children and don't have to do chores, we're happy ๐Ÿ˜€

  32. I have a question if youโ€™re flying you have needles and stuff like that. Do you get questions or have problems

  33. You might have to go through customs with your carry on and medication because airlines only allow you to bring liquids that fit in a single quart sized bag. Any thing that won't fit in to that bag has to go through customs.

  34. Great idea for the organizers. I do have a question of how you keep all of the medical document in order. I want something that I can hand an ER physician and it has my diagnosis, meds, allergies, and doctors names. I have just started on this road of having an autoimmune disorder. Was diagnosed last May so it has been a challenge.

  35. I know you already have a video about flying with a service dog but I would love another video about how you travel with Harlow!

  36. Love to see you guys playing board games it makes me laugh so hard. but i think something went wrong with paying rent at jimmy pesto XD either paul payed to much or judd payed to little ๐Ÿ˜› cause paul needed to pay 750 at 11:11 when there where 3 houses en judd needed to pay 750 at 11:59 when there was a hotel on it. XD

  37. Nice bag i really like the patten, hi dose you medical insurance cover your medication.

  38. I love monopoly! Itโ€™s so much fun. My husband and I play it by ourselves sometimes. Yโ€™all look like you were having fun.

  39. This is the best organization video I have watched so far! โค

I have seen those target organization bins, but never thought to use them for medical supplies!! Great idea!! ๐Ÿ‘

  40. Janeiceโ€™s face ๐Ÿ˜‚ poor Janeice! I always lose too, Janeice! I love the new Vera Bradley feeding tube bag. I have a lot of Vera bags.

  41. You used to have a video about the alterations you had made by a seamstress with your IV hydration backpack. Just curious if you don't have a replacement video if you could share briefly what alterations were made to your bag? TIA!

  42. Anyone ever seen a backpack that will hold feeding tube and iv at the same time it's far too hard for me to carry both packs
