BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY SHOPPING (8.4.15 – Day 1222) | Clintus.tv

– Good morning clan, welcome to Tuesday the last day, the last
official day of summer break for the kids. You saw yesterday’s video, you saw them, they met their teachers,
they’re both super excited. Sierra’s got all her friends
in her class, Bryce has the same teacher he had in first grade, so they’re both super
excited to start school. No friends, you got a
couple friends don’t you? – No friends from last year,
but friends from first grade. – From previous years, okay, okay. Well either way, they’re both excited. We are up and out of the
house heading to Target for our back to school supplies. Kids gotta get all the
paper, pens, pencils, backpacks, binders,
and all that good stuff for school, so let’s do this! (guitar sounds) – [Tiffany] Oh, you missed it! Bryce, help sister out. Bye! – I had a green folder last year. That’s not really a binder. – Yeah it is. – It’s not one of these. – Inside there’s a binder,
it’s got a cover on it. – Oh yeah. – Look at this bright yellow one. – [Clintus] Alright Mom,
so you got their wish lists for the teachers? – Yeah, they’re pretty simple. – Pretty simple? So at this point it’s just
what the kids kind of want to get, and what they need. We got told by the teachers
that most supplies are being supplied this year, and so we
don’t have to buy a whole lot. There’s some wish lists the
teachers had, some items that they want in the classrooms,
and the rest is just kind of what the kids need,
and that they know they need. Oh, that’s an ice cream sandwich? Yeah, where’ the cheeseburger one? It’s just for dessert. Some doughnuts over here,
and a cupcake, look at that! Cupcake backpack. A little camo action. Oh, freezer pack’s built in, that’s cool. – But then you don’t have
room for a bag of chips. – Yeah, just cold items and what not. – I want this one. – All black? Are you growing all up,
you’re growing up now, you don’t want any patterns or designs? You want just plain Jane? What’s that? – Notebooks, there’s three
subject and one subject. – Three subject and one subject? Five Star, that’s what I used to have. – Oh this is wide ruled
and this is college ruled. – You got a three-in-one? Three-in-one, three-in-one! Oh, camo! – No he doesn’t like
those kind of pencils. – We have a ton of pencils
at the house though. Like regular pencils. – Who uses pencils? – Your son. – Our artist. – She uses mechanical. – Mechanical. – So my theme, or color is
this like teal-ish color. And then Bryce, yours is pirate. – Pirate themed? Wait a minute what is this? – A glue stick that’s huge. – A glue stick that’s huge? Let’s see, what’s it called,
it’s just a glue stick. Goes on purple, dries clear. Oh wow, you’re right. That says “giant sticks,” what
do you think this is called? – Extra giant stick. – Extra giant, or giant-giant stick? – And there’s those that are black but… – Wait, is this one even bigger? – It is, it’s gigantic. – Which one do you want then, Bryce? – These. – It gives you more. – It’s a super giant stick. (beeping) – Oh that’s cool, it makes R2-D2 sounds. – And it lights up. – I think Sierra should get that. You want it? It’s a little small, I think
it’s for a kindergartener. (chuckles) Oh did you get a new lunchbox? – Yeah, that’s mine. – Oh, it’s not teal, it
doesn’t match your theme. – Well my backpack is pink,
so I was thinking purple goes with pink. Bryce you got a little Trans,
with a little mini backpack. Is that your lunchbox? It looks like a mini backpack. – Yeah, it is. – Some backpacks actually
do have the straps like a backpack. Or some lunchboxes
actually have the strap. – That’s cool. Alright, so Bryce changed
his mind, he’s going with the freezer bag, it has the
freezer packs built-in right? – Yeah, it’s heavy. – And it’s heavy. Why did you ditch the
backpack looking one? – Because that one you have
to put ice packs inside of it, and it just takes up space,
and this one has ice packs inside of it. – Built-in, on the inside? Gotcha. – So… – All the sides are all… What did you do? – Nothing. – Sierra dropped it. – Sierra changed her mind too. Because the other ones was kind of small. – Yeah, the other one was super small. – Now you can put like
a whole cheeseburger and french fries in here. Alright so we are done with
the supply shopping for now, as I said the kids’ lists were
actually kinda short so… For now they got what they
need, and we’ll go from there as the school year begins. But now it’s time for lunch,
and we’re doing Sweet Tomatoes, because that’s what she wants. I wanted like Asian, I wanted
like Pei Wei, or PF Chang’s, or Genghis Grill of sushi or something, and she shot them all down so… Sweet Tomatoes it is. And we’re meeting Ma-Maw for lunch. – (giggling) Hi! – What are you putting
in your salad, Sierra? – Cucumbers, bell peppers and olives. – That’s it? Alright. You got all these
choices, so many choices. Mommy’s getting a little color in hers. Alright, check out our spreads. This is my garden on a
plate that I’m eating. The different various salads
they have on the side. There’s Tiffany’s salad,
basically a smaller version of mine. A couple things on the side there. Sierra’s got her salad, and
some pasta and some pudding and sunflower seeds. And Bryce has got a little
hodge podge of this and that. But I already told him he has
to go make a salad after that. Gotta eat your greens boy,
gotta eat your greens. – Green, green. – That doesn’t count. – It’s green! – What you getting now dude? – Mac and cheese. – Mac and cheese, you can
have some roasted tomato alfredo as well, that looks good. All the different breads
and cheese and soups. Alright, we’re all done with
lunch and now we’re back to the shopping, back here at JC Penny’s and Ma-Maw wants to buy
the kids an outfit or two. And I guess Sierra needs a
couple of pairs of sandals because she doesn’t have enough. Alright, so what do you guys need now? – I need new shoes because I
used to be a four in these, but now I’m a six and a six and a half. – Oh, so your feet have grown. – Yes. – When do we start calling her bigfoot? – [Ma-Maw] (laughs) – Actually the funny
thing is that she’s almost the same size as Tiffany. So give her about six months
and they’ll be wearing the same shoes. Then you can wear all Mommy’s shoes, you wont have to buy her
shoes for a whole year then, because then she can wear all yours. – I might be bigger than her, I might have a bigger
size than her though. – Later, in a year I’m saying. – You see that one? – No I didn’t see it. The only ones I saw were here, because I didn’t see this, I saw that. (talking quietly) – You like that? Did you pick out some shorts? They got plaid, they got
camo, plaid, colored. Some bright colored shorts over here. Bryce likes the green ones,
totally gonna rock those. – I did the green with
this purple shirt, joker! – It’s gonna be awesome! Kid has good taste in
clothes, not gonna lie. Bryce is trying on clothes
again, let’s see what he comes out with this time. – Maybe a dress. – (laughs) – Nope, no dress, but
looking good with Nike and Adidas shorts. It’s good. Ready for some football? Alright guys, so final stop
of the day is here at Costco. Obviously gotta buy a handful
of items both for the house and for them at school. And Costco has the deals when it comes to buying things in bulk. Thermoses and stuff? For your guys’ lunch boxes? Tons of cool ones. Those kind of look like
cans, those are cool. So you’re getting… – He wants the black one,
so I’m gonna get the silver. – Alright so Bryce is
gonna get the black one, you’re gonna get the silver one? Very cool. Press that button to
open it, so you drink it? – Yeah and then the thing’s
right here like this. – Gotcha. Alright so we made our way back home and the kids are putting
together their backpacks, their pencil boxes, their
binders, all that good stuff and of course, they wanna show you guys what they got. Alright, let’s see what we got here, I think Sierra’s gonna go first. What you got, girl? – First I got my lunchbox. – That’s your lunchbox, okay. – With a purse. – It looks like a purse, yeah. – A binder, it’s a teal-ish color. It’s got double folders, you
can put something in here and then you can put something here. This is from last year, it
didn’t get ripped up or anything, so I’m using it agian. I’ve got a pen, pencils, and an eraser. I’ve got a folder that matches the binder. – Oh it’s glittery, nice. – And it’s my favorite colors,
purple, teal, and green. – I like it! – And then I’ve got a
notebook that kind of matches. – Okay, so that’s your binder, what else? – And the only thing left I
really have is my crayon box, which I got the jumbo one because– – It’s huge! – Last year I couldn’t
actually close my box because I actually had one like Bryce. It was smaller, I couldn’t
actually close my box because it was full of stuff. It was actually this pink one over there. So I got the jumbo teal one. And I’ve got markers,
crayons, a sharpener, some double sided tape,
more erasers, highlighters, expos, scissors. – Look at those fancy scissors. The flowers, I like it. – [Bryce] And it’s black. – We also got these
things for the classroom– – Stuff that she asked for? – Yeah. – Very cool. Alright Bryce, your turn. – I have this pirate
folder, I have something awesome inside of it. – What’s that? – Nothing. – (laughs) – [Sierra] His theme is
pirates, my theme’s teal. – I like that. – And I have this– – Three subject notebook? – Yeah, three subject. – Math, reading, and spelling probably? – [Sierra] Or writing. – Yeah, writing. – And I have my binder. – That’s from last year, right? – Yeah, he didn’t use it so that’s why. – It’s still in good
condition, Arizona Cardinals, looks good. – Okay and I have a… – Composition book? – Composition book, and another pirate– – One subject book? – Yeah. And pencils, erasers, a
sharpener, and a book. Paper. – Alright, and you’ve got
pretty much the same thing in your pencil pouch. The giant glue stick! A sharpener, these are all
pencils from left over, right? From last year? You guys didn’t use a whole lot of them. Very cool, and then this is
your teacher’s care package, stuff that she asked for, what’s this? – This is… a snack for the class,
everybody has to bring a snack. – To share? – Yeah like we’re gonna
have snack time or whatever. – That’s cool. – And this Cardinal’s cloth is to wipe off our whiteboards. – Oh, you’re bringing a towel, very cool. – And the same backpack. – And your backpack’s
still good from last year? – Mine is too. – So no new backpacks this year. At least not yet. – This is my third year having that. – This is his lunchbox. – We showed that at Target. So hang on Bryce, you’re
saying this is your third year with that backpack? – Yup. – That’s how good you are with backpacks, you haven’t worn one out? Very cool. This is Sierra’s second year, right? – Yeah, but I got this one from Justice that wasn’t my fault, it was
just not a good backpack. – It broke. Gotcha, well very cool guys! There’s their stuff. – So guys, we’ve kind of
put away most of our stuff. I did wanna do something that I’ve done in the past years, like
kindergarten, first grade, and maybe second grade, it’s where I write my name on this lined piece of paper and I put it in my binder slot. I used mostly the colors
of my folders and stuff, like I’ve got darker purple, the teal, dark blue, light green, lighter purple, dark blue, light blue,
so I used a whole lot of different colors, dark green. I don’t know if I said that,
but yeah there’s my binder. Still love the crayon box. And I’m loving the big crayon box, because last year was just so full, I couldn’t get anything. I organized it like
that, but I just couldn’t get to anything. My markers would be under my crayons, and I’d need my markers,
then it would mess up all my crayons, so I couldn’t organize it. It just had to be mixed up,
but then it wouldn’t close. It was just so hard
with a small crayon box, and I’m loving the big
one so I’m glad I got it. – Alright guys, tomorrow’s the big day, their first day of school! Sierra’s going into fifth
grade, Bryce is going into third grade, they are super excited. I know you guys are as well. I will try to show as much as I can, without really revealing what
school they go to and whatnot because obviously privacy reasons. We don’t disclose that
information, I know some of you guys made comments about
“how come you didn’t “show their teachers and blah blah blah.” Privacy reasons, but as
you’ve seen in the past, obviously I try to show as much as I can in little bits and pieces,
the whole morning waking up, getting ready, their first
outfits, all that good stuff. Taking them to school,
walking them to class, and then of course hearing their thoughts after the first day. How their teacher is, how the class is, and who is in their class and whatnot. So stay tuned, it’s gonna be
an awesome video as always. So I hope you enjoyed this
video, be sure to give it a thumbs up, and I will see you tomorrow. Vlog on!
