DIY Sunglasses Decor | Donuts and 2-Tone Styles

(upbeat music) – Hey guys, it’s Brooklyn and Bailey, and today we are going to be showing you how to dress up some old pair of sunglasses you might have laying around. So the DIY I’m going to be showing you how to do is the doughnut sunglasses. They’re very cute. – And the DIY I’m going to be showing you guys how to do is the two-toned sunglasses, which I love. – But first, if you like our videos, be sure to subscribe and also give this video a thumbs-up
if you like the DIY. Ok, so to start out first DIY, I have these black circular sunglasses which you can find basic
circular sunglasses at Target, and then I also have my brand new nail polish which is Essie and Cocktails and Coconuts is the color. So, we’re first going to do our basic coat for the doughnut, so I’m just going to go ahead and paint the circular areas of my sunglasses this brown color. Ok, so now that I’ve painted the first coat of the brown, I am realizing that it’s a little bit thinner than I thought, so I’m going to put a couple extra coats on top just so our brown
is the perfect color. Now we are going to be working on our frosting, so the color that I’m using, ooh, let me look, Mod Square by Essie and it’s kind of this hot pink color, and our
goal is to get it wavy. So we’re going to be working from the inside out, and
we’re going to be waving our frosting, you do not
want it evenly coated. So for the frosting on the doughnut, I didn’t end up doing two coats, I just ended up doing one thick coat. We all know how I feel about sprinkles and sparkles and pink and really bright colorful things, so I’m going to go ahead and do a plethora of sprinkles on our doughnut, that way we can just be a little bit spiced up. I’m going to go ahead and take a toothpick and just dip it into the colors I want my sprinkles and then just draw a line. Ok, so now that we have finished all of the sprinkles on our doughnuts, our doughnut glasses are finished. Yes, they’re so cute. (upbeat music) – Ok, the first step to making my two-toned sunglasses, is taking some painters tape or masking tape and cutting the sunglasses in horizontally. For my second step, I’m going to take this color, it’s Sinful
Colors, Mint Apple, and I’m going to paint the top half of the rims of the sunglasses. And, like Bailey’s sunglasses, I’m definitely going to need a double coat on these rims. Next, you’re going to remove the tape on your sunglasses once
your nail polish is dry. And, voila! Half of your
sunglasses are done. Now we’re going to paint the bottom half this color, it’s Sinful Colors, and it is called Pink Forever. Two-toned sunglasses,
what do you guys think? I think they turned out nicely. – Thank you guys so much for watching, again, don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up, our goal is 100,000, and I think that’s all we have for you guys today, bye! (upbeat music)
