Hello, I’m Thom from Carpfeed.com. We’re at
Fox’s trade show today. Lots of really impressive products, to be honest. First up, let’s take
a look at their new top-end bite alarms – these are the RX+ alarms, they replace the NTXrs,
which were super popular but came out probably about eight years ago now and technology has
moved on. Packed full of features, these. We could do
a video for half an hour and we still wouldn’t get through all the features, so Fox have
done a very good video of their own which explains all the features.
But my over-riding impression is that these look the part, they look like a worthy successor
to Fox’s previous alarms. Really nice build quality, some great features – the tech in
here is really impressive and they come in cheaper, as a full set, than their previous
alarms, so they are really impressive, they’re the real deal. Also in the range we’ve got some new luggage. I’ve got lots of it in front of me here – too
much to go through, I’m afraid, in this quick video but let’s have a look at this rod holdall.
This is the Voyager, it’s part of the Voyager range. This is designed by Scott Day, one
of Fox’s product guys. He fishes out of a car, not a van, so like a lot of you doesn’t
have too much room to cart stuff about. Look how thin it is up here, no space is wasted
here. It’s got big pouches so you can fit rods in top and bottom. You’ve got grab handles
so you can sling it in the back of the car – gently, obviously! You can put your marker
float and your Spomb and stuff like that in there; lead pouch, scissors, anything like
that. Just a really well-designed rod holdall, that. Moving on, we could do with it on a day like today because it is freezing – this new sleeping bag, this is the ERS sleeping bag. Look at that, that is so soft, I think that’s an industry
first, not sure any carp-fishing sleeping bag has got a fleece lining like that. That
is just sumptuous, it really is lovely and makes you want to curl up in it, quite frankly.
Also, the Fox Supa Brolly, so, so popular – that’s dead. They’ve replaced it, they’ve
got the new one, that’s the Ultra 60. No more 50ins version, it’s the 60ins now in a various
range of camo or normal green colours and you’ve also got different fronts and a vapour
shield inside, that stops condensation. So, again, another worthy successor here from
Fox and all part of the range that’ll be out very soon indeed.
